July 8, 2006 - Lisa and I take the seven hour drive down to Shore Leave in Huntvalley, Maryland to hand over R2-KT to the Johnson family
Approx. a one year build and R2-KT is joined with her family. It was a pleasure meeting Albin and his family for the first time. I was thrilled to hear about the plans he has for R2-KT
He would like to exhibit her at the local Hospital where Katie went for treatment and hopefully bring some smiles and hope to others
He would also like to bring R2-KT by Katies school for her former classmates to see
This build was fun and emotional at times. God bless Albin and his family. God bless Katie and may she live on forever in our hearts.
Thank you to all the R2-D2 Builders who donated money, parts and time to make this possible.
Thank you to the 501st who also donated time and money to reach our goal.
