Foot Drive Assembly

2005 I was asked to design a foot drive for the NPC 2212 Motors similar to Dave Painters
I made some improvements to Dave's drive and had four complete setups manufactured.
Wayne Orr, Guy Averett, Paul Bussier and Myself have these units.
You can see Guy Averett's in the Tutorial Section of Atomicpickle.com
The word got out that I manufactured these and people demanded I make more.
So I did a second run of 20 sets in late 2006/early 2007 completion.
The cost of these is $900 per Droid.
That does not include the motors. You have to purchase those on your own.
The lowest price I've seen on the NPC 2212 is $155 each.
This drive is designed for a heavy duty, all metal Droid.
Using a 5" rubber wheel and gearing the motor RPM down to around 78RPM on 12 Volts.
A perfect speed for any Droid.
The following pages show the assembly of 20 parts used to make up the NPC 2212 Foot Drive Assembly.
If there was enough interest I would manufacture more in the future.

November 16, 2008. I just talked to Norm Domholt of NPC via the phone and here's what he said...
He has an order of 100's of the NPC 2212 Motors coming in very soon so he can support our demand.
He is also running a special for us Builders.
He will sell a pair of the NPC 2212 for $270 ($135 each).
That is a savings from other distributors I've found on the web.
